Default Air Box ??

Is there a difference in airboxes between the WS6 and regular trans am because i was looking at my car and another car and the intake where the air enters is wider than another or was this an aftermarket air intake box. Basically is there a difference between non ram air cars and others??

The opening in the airbox is slightly higher on the Ram Air cars than it is on the base model 'birds (like mine). Other than that, the only difference is the Ram Air decal on the factory air lid.

If you found one for cheap, then I'd say go ahead and swap it. Otherwise, I'd just leave it alone. You can spend you money elsewhere on mods.

If you can find it cheap, or were planning to add a BG (Brian Greene) ram air that would seal your hood to the air box. Although, I do believe that the have discontinued that mod, so you would have to find one that was used.
