Default Ws-6??????????????????

How do you find out if a car is a WS-6 and ram air besides the stickers. The hood is fully functional, but the air box is not nearly as big as the one on a 30th anniversary I saw, I have an 02 WS-6, and it has no pontiac ram air sticker, it has the back emblem, and WS-6 gauges. I NEED TO KNOW IT IS DRIVING ME NUTS.

Only way to know for sure is to check for the "WS6" RPO code on the door decal. Not sure what you mean by your car having "WS-6 guages", theres nothing special about guages in a WS6. If there's no "WS6" RPO code on the door decal, it's not a real WS6 (most likely it would be a TA w/ hood, wheels and a fake badge).

Definitely check the RPO codes found on the driver's door decal. If you don't find 'WS6" listed anywhere on that decal, then it's not an authentic ram air car.

Many base Trans Ams (and Formulas for that matter) have had Ram Air hoods added in place of the base model's steel hood. You can tell an aftermarket ram air hood from a factory ram air hood by looking at the "snout" openings or the contour of the "channel" that runs between them. A lot of the time, the shape of either (or sometimes both) of those features differs from the factory ram air hood.
