Do a search for "free mods".

An air lid, LT's, and a good cat-back are all good starting mods.

You can also check out my site to see what I've done to my 2000 T/A.

^what he said...do the feebies first (free ram air, descreened MAF, TB bypass, shortened egr tube, etc) then get a lid, cutout, catback if you want it, and long tubes in that order.

An airlid is a given. You have to get this unless you end up going with a supercharger or turbo, or an intake system like the Volant or K&N. Also, subframe connectors are a must. It doesn't add any power, but especially if your car has 105k miles, it will stiffen up the chassis (especially if your car has t-tops), and help a bit with traction.

go with pacesetter lt's if you're on a budget, they the best bang for buck set of headers.
as far as the cam...i'd stay within the 224-230 range for a daily driver. the TR224 seems like a popular cam for the DD A4s.

The 1st thing to do is pay off the car!
The 2nd thing to do is take out a $6000 loan and buy a stroked long block with heads and put in a heavy cam and do some tuning. 460 rwhp. Problem solved.

I like a full SLP exhaust....loudmouth, Y pipe, cats & headers, although that alone is over 2K. Basic intake stuff - lid, filter, bellows, MAF, 160 stat. If it'll be yours forever, investing in a good programmer is a good choice. It'll give more power, plus you won't have to take it somewhere and pay just to get it scanned. Definetely a good choice considering you're already over 100K, and want now and future dependability. I have a stick, so I'm not versed in the automatic world.
