Progress of TTA #301.
Basically, he's painting where it needs painted, compounding what can be "cleaned up" and smoothing out the entire body. Both rear quarters and the rear bumper cover have been sprayed, both lower doors and he's doing the hood too. The color matches perfectly...even being white.
Notice how the rear hatch has been straightened where it was sticking out from the passenger quarter about 3/4".
Also, he's refinishing the wheels on the car, replacing the front fender liners, miscellanous emblems, trim, etc..
The car will look great when I get it back in a week or two.
It's got a set of Champion irons and intake, 218/218 cam, 3" DP but is on the stock turbo. I have a TE44 with a polished compressor housing sitting in the garage waiting to go on and a set of 55# injectors will be put on it.
What I plan on having is a driver that'll squeak into the 11's on pump, deep into the 11's on a 2:1 mix of 93-octane and C16, look close to show quality and the owner (me for now!) won't worry about driving it or putting miles on the odometer.
I'll be doing a few things inside...new console and shift plate, PW switches, PM switch, recover the wheel...that's about it. Seats and carpet were already done by the previous owner.
Anyway, here are some pics...

I paid $10.8k for it. It's got 130k miles, but looks like far less. I wanted a car I wouldn't be afraid to race and drive...the 10k mile cars tend to turn into "garage queens".
I've have a self-imposed "budget" of $3k to do a few upgrades to compliment what parts the car has and cosmetics.
Honestly, it was an impulse buy. Once I get it cleaned up and running where I think it should be, I'll very likely put a for-sale sign on it.
