I got my score sheets in the mail yesterday. Made me sick. Worst score I have received there! One of the judges gave me a 1 on my paint. And for overall apperance...a 16. Makes me not want to return next year. I'm not looking for best of show or anything, but come on. I'm a lil V6 that gets lost in the V8's down there and they put me in Super Street because of my Nitrous and its the only car I have. So Its driven year round in Ohio in the snow. Look under the car and you can see how rusty she is. Ok. I vented!! BTW...congrats on your win!! Love your car :-)

Don't feel slighted---I have won there and have even scored a 100. This year one of the judges gave me a 3 on every single line of the sheet. I got 4's & 5"s from the other one. My car is always spotless in all 3 areas that they judge---to get a 3 is just nuts. That guy was not serious about being fair. I won the heavy modifed class at the Great Lakes Firebird Gathering in Michigan in June,so to see that score sheet with the 3's just made my laugh.
I have a lot of friends that go to that show and I will continue to go--But it is disappointing. Some of them were not happy with the placings also.
You should read what Prince Xizor had to say in post #37 of the Trans Am Nationals info thread.

The class that Bird Man and I were in was one of the very last classes to be judged. In fact, we were joking that they had simply forgotten about us. I'm in no way defending the judges procedures, but I'm sure they were tired and wanted to wrap things up. A group of us from the class mingled while our cars were judged, and we all noticed several inconsistencies between how each car was judged. No one bothered to even look at the rear of Bird Man's car, but they did mine. My car's wheel/wheelwheel areas were also highly scrutinized, when I didn't see anyone else get that treatment. It didn't help me that I knew both of the judges either. As long as I know the judges, I figure I'll never win.
Maybe the show staff should consider more judges so two guys don't have to rush through multiple classes.

An interesting sidelight here is thethe judges at the Great Lakes show were hired judges and do a lot of shows--they were aslo doing the Ames Pontiac show in Norwalk in August. Those guys spent 20 minutes on my car and I won. My car was just as clean for the Nats--so go figure. Seriously--no sour grapes here. I have won at this show before --just be fair to my car. A score in the 60's is not fair.

I just saw that thread about the Last of the Breed sticker--it's closed now--but maybe if we had those on our cars we might have done better.
