AHh I just changed that, 1/2 of my passanger side ones didnt have the felt/clothish piece and I had to get a new one.

All I did was go to a pontiac parts dealer and describe that its a small metal piece inside the window with felt on it to prevent the window from scratching up/down.

You dont have to take off the door panel entirely to replace it. Just all the screws on the door then unhook either side that its on, if its inner (closer to mirror) it might be harder - should only be about an 11 dollar part
