History of the Firebird
On the history channel today, they showed the "History of the Firebird"
It had early prototypes from the 60's, THe First, Second, then the Third gens, the 1988 Banshee, and the 4th generation. (I really liked the Banshee. The even had footage of the Banshee on the road. It looked AWESOME.)
I think the program was probally a re-run since they said, "The Firebird alive and well." To bad that statement is now not true

I've seen that program. If I remember correctly, they focus on a 30th Anniversary 'bird (so the show was probably done around 1999-2000). They did a pretty nice job with the show. I agree with you, it's kind of wierd though when they talk about the car being alive and well.
It was defintely a repeat. However, the Firebird & T/A will always be alive and well, so long as we keep driving them and talking about them.
The show doesn't solely concentrate on the F-Body. The first half of the show talks about Pontiac in general and those who joined the team to turn its image from a drab family car to the sporty division to follow.
