I guess the difference in the two cars comes down to what the person replying drives.
This is such a stupid thing to quibble about, sleek beek versus ram air hood.
Fact is that the one who wins the race is the one with the better reaction time and traction. That is how close the cars are.

The Ram Air hood is just a decoration. The 4th-gen F-bodies are pretty much the same performance wise, so buy the one that you think looks the best.

Its all been said, Hood, wheels, taller airbox, 32mm sway bar, slightly better muffler. All of the benefits of which are very small and can rarely even be measured (power wise) the wheels help for handling, the extra 2mm on the swaybar... not so much. Its up to you, HOWEVER if you are going to put a hood on the car, or you would be happy with the WS6 wheels, get the WS6, you'll spend more than the difference for the car on aftermarket stuff.

same goes for SS's & Z28's

I personally love the hood on the WS6, but that is the only difference that matters IMO. Most aftermarket intakes are better than both stock intakes, and who keeps the stock exhaust anyway? Then you realize that the suspension is due for some work at this rate. So all the differences get taken care of anyway (except for the look).

I also have another question about the traction control. On my SS i could turn Traction control with a flip of the switch i did not see a switch in the TA can you turn the traction control on the TA off or does it even have Traction control?

If you have it....it'll be a button right in front of the stick with "TCS" on it

Minor correction, I believe what you meant to say was:

"The frt and rr bumpers of the T/A are diffrent from the plain jane/firebird and formula"

THE WS6 never got ANY suspension upgrades. The SS got the bigger swaybars not the Trans Am.

Anyway I have one of each and I do like the seats better in the Trans Am but i have owned 9 4th gen Camaros and only 1 Trans Am and I haven't even owned it for a week yet. The car came with a ram air hood which i sold ASAP. I like the stock hood like stated before too many WS6-WS7 and WS9 hoods out there

You couldn't be more wrong. Depending on how far back in history you want to go, the WS6 RPO was nothing BUT suspension upgrades. Only in '96+ when Pontiac packaged the "Ram Air" CAI system w/ WS6 were the cars externally badged as WS6 and included both drivetrain AND suspension upgrades over a non-WS6 car. True, in Nov '00 the WS6 package was watered-down and didn't include as many upgraded suspension parts as a non-WS6 car. But suspension upgrades have ALWAYS been part of the WS6 package. The ONLY exception to this was the '97 WS6 'verts, which had the standard Formula / T/A suspension and 16" rims.

"The WS6 mods boost horsepower and torque peaks to 320 and 345, respectively, up from the stock Trans Am's 305 and 320 figures."
