I don't know of any recalls, but I did get a letter a few months ago from pontiac saying that there is a problem with the cats and they increased the warranty on this to 10yr/100,000miles and to bring it into the dealer for repair if they happen to go bad.
Unfortunately, the letter arrived two weeks after the P0430 cat code had gone off on my formula and I had cleared the code & it has not returned.

I'm pretty sure I got something in the mail couple months ago about bringing in the Hawk because of the passenger door having I believe rivots which in a impact on that side will fail. So for now nobody rides with me

There's a recall on the cats for these cars. They're said to clog up before they should... guess that's why nobody keeps them on their cars. Got a letter in the mail from GM that said if they are clogged and you get it repaired by a muffler shop that they would re-emburse you. Sounded cool...but I already had minre removed
