1993 was the only year for Speed Density for a Firebird LT1.

Its an air metering device, in this case a manifold absolute pressure sensor is used whereas later cars used mass airflow.

92-93 LT1s used it, 93 FBodies, and 92-93 were the Vettes. 89-92 FBody TPI (Or was it 90-92? I'm a little flaky on the first year).

MAF setups still have a MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor, but they meter the air via the MAF. I like my Speed Density, one less $90+ part to go out heh And the MAP sensor you can get off damn near any GM (except the turbo or supercharged, since they use a 2bar (barometric pressure) version). You can just shove a conical K&N filter right on the throttle body too, which is why hotroders like them as well.

Feel free to correct any of my inaccuracies. Helps me too
