Default 94 firebird power

i have a 94 firebird 3.4 v6 i still owe like a 1000 on it and was wanting to know could i change to a bigger v6 or v8 or ls1 right know i dont have enough money to buy a different car i know it is a project but im going to school for automotive and get discounts on stuff. i was wandering would it be worth trying to build the 3.4 up i have magnaflow on it. should i add kn cold air induction or slp induction also i could not find a whisper lid for this year do they make it . i dont know too much im learning everyday and what to make a badass ride.

your best bet would be try and get a wrecked ls1 car and get all the parts you need from and do a swap. the 3.4 isnt much of a performace engine and is really tuff to get parts for for that reason

the trans wont because a 3.4 is a 60 degree bellhousing while all ls1 and lt1 have a 90 degree bellhousing an ls1 wrecked ls1 or lt1 car would supply most if not all parts needed to do a swap into your car

It's not exactly a cheap option, per se, but what about turbo-charging it? A killer intercooled turbo setup should make it a killer. Kinda like the '89 Anniversary T/A, but with much more structural integrity.

If I was going to FI any motor it sure would not be the 3.4, it is nothing more than a stroked out 3.1 liter motor.

YOu could try swapping in the 3.8 as the later years F-bodys came with it. There are alot of performance parts for them as well.

Or

You can go the LS1 route, way more power and option but it is going to cost you alot more and require more down time.
