Will the steering wheel controls from an 00-02 work on my 97?

I ordered a set of black ones from 00-02. I was thinking color was the only change myself.. Thanks

For the record, controls from 00-02 have the same wiring harness, but the snap-in's are different and you cannot install them into a 97. Not sure of similar years..
