1987 Firebird trunk problem

Hi all new to this forum. Looks like an active place.

I have an immediate question:

I lost key to the trunk and I need to open it up , how is this possible without the key? Anyone have a clue? problem is i need to change out brake lamps to get the car inspected. Plus they need to see that there is indeed a spare in there. Does the trunch latch have a way to be accessed?

I would recommend getting a key made for it. It isn't worth the amount of damage you'll do trying to get it open without it.
