We've had our G8 since new; it's been the wife's car and completely stock. I got caught in a hellacious hailstorm in Western Kansas, and among the other damage, it broke the grilles inside the hood scoops. So, rather than replace them, I did the "hood scoop mod." Woohoo! 30 rwhp! Lol
