Exactly like the title says...how can you pull the codes since my check engine light is on? is there a way to pull them without buying a scanner? on my buddy's 2000 vette he just held one button in and tapped another 3 times and the codes came up....is there something like that on the GTO?

Nothing like that in the GTO. Easiest thing to do is go to Autozone or Advance and they'll read them for free.
