Change the stock front radius rod bushings, rear spings, add drag bags, and get a good four wheel alignment.
That is my only problems with the stock suspension. I am also going to add one BMR stub to see if it helps with wheel hop. Some guys on the LS2gto apparently had good results with that, but I wouldn't be suprised if it doesn't fix anything.

The weakest points with an 04 is the stubs and half shafts. The outer axle shaft is smaller in the 04's, they corrected it in the 05-06's. The 04 used some goofy outer cv joints too.
The stubs are the same throughout the years but still a weak spot.
I run cryo treated factory stubs and have been 9.70 with a 1.43 60ft time on them.
Come visit me on ls1gto.com about half shafts. I'm a sponsor over there.
