there are many, many posts about this in the suspension section. i have the same setup you do, and kept my isolators on. i needed the extra half inch of clearance. the konis drop you more then enough.

if youre talking about stock springs/shocks, then doing the hose mod wont hurt anything, and itll drop the rear about .5/.75 inch.

as far as handling, its great. for ground clearance, it sucks. my exhaust hangs lower then it should, and with all the differances in pavement, potholes, driveways, etc. around my area, i scrape alot.

as long as you dont get SLP LTs you'll be fine with the lowered car. i have pacesetter LTs and 3" TDs and only have clearance issue on drastically sharp driveways/roads that have super steep angles. i never scrape otherwise

it depends how your exhaust is set up. i got mine done before lowering, so at stock height it was fine. afterwards, its terrible. i have a catted Y, so the rear O2 sensors hang low, and the cats could have been positioned better. its the shop that did the exhaust that screwed it up. i adjusted it as best i could, but the simple placement of the O2 bungs was just stupid.

the rears are full soft, or nearly so. i have the 4th gen rears, so easy adjustablity from in-car.

Hey! I have the rear isolators removed from my car to bring the *** end down to match the front. I'm running 4/3 Koni yellows.

If you remove the isolator, you want to run rubber hosing over the top coil of the springs otherwise you will get a lot of whine from the direct metal contact. I've run rubber hosing and while it doesn't completely muffle the road noise like an isolator does, over the exhaust and the engine it doesn't really matter.

I don't have any clearance issues.

Best photo I have available at this moment. That's with the rubber isolator removed in the rear.

You're just going to have to try it and see what you think... Folks aren't all the same, and things even as seemingly small are different tires have a big effect on what sort of shock damping you might prefer.

Well, not always. That's one one recommendation. In fact I don't run mine full soft in the rear currently.
