Default Shocks!?!?

I am looking to upgrade my suspension for better handeling and I was wondering what some of you guys are doing for shocks. I have done some research and I know everybody is going to suggest the Koni setup, and I would LOVE to be able to do that. But I can't spend that much money for adjustable shocks that I will probably never adjust. Are there any good options that are less expensive? BTW, I have Hotchkis springs & everything else is stock.

Strano revalved bilsteins are the more budget oriented choice. Though konis are worth the $ even if you just get it right and never adjust again.

I went with the custom valved Bilsteins from Strano. They are great for a guy like me that auto-crosses on the weekends with the occasional trip to a road course.

Thats what I am looking to do, plus, I don't think I am probably experienced enough to be able to tell the differance between a good shock and a great shock. Stock shocks is another story.......

Honestly, I waited about 5 years before I upgraded my shocks because I couldn't afford Koni's. Once I had the cash, I bought them and I couldn't be happier! I know waiting sucks, but in the long run you will be happier.

Ahhh, Greenville! Do you ever go to any of the SCR-SCCA events? (I'm guessing not as I usually am the only f-body there, but figured I would ask)

Actually, I am returning to competition this season (CCR-SCCA). I'll be at Carowinds on Feb. 22. I'll be in the loud black Z-28 #326...my name is Jon. I'm having to run in C-Prepared (due to my mods and gutted interior), so I'll probably get my a$$ kicked. Also going to be on street tires, cuz I spent most of my budget on a new clutch.

I used to compete a lot when I lived in Columbia, but not so much the last few years.

Introduce yourself if you see me...I love to talk cars!

Koni's For The Win... I had the revalved billestines from Strano on my WS6 and I have the Koni's on my SS... I like the Koni's and in the long run, there is only a couple hundred dollars difference.
