Default Pads for Auocross

What brand of pads is everyone running for Autocross? I know the hot pad a lot of people run are the HP Plus from Hawk, but i know there are other good pads out there at a reasonable price. I've been told by some very experienced guys (national level competitors) to not even bother with anything other than standard organic pads in the rear and to focus on the front's. I know that's where the majority of our stopping is done. I bought SS lines, Super Blue fluid, I'm going to get some good rotor blanks, but I'm still thinking about which pad. Any other suggestions besides Hawk? I'm using Raybestos Super Stop's now with stock everything and they do pretty well. Any other upgrades to Raybestos? I saw Powerstop and a couple of others. Looking for suggestions from other autocrossers or road racers who have experience in pads that will resist fade and pull out my teeth when I stomp on them.

Thanks.

doesnt much matter for autox. you dont go so fast or put so much heat into them to warrant any kind of race pad. HP+ is NOT the best for autox. theyre a combo street/track pad. if anything, HPS is fine. i autoxd for 2 seasons on bone stock original GM pads without any trouble.

I've been running Hawk HPS for one season now. I like them, then again I havent tried anything else.

Sometimes I think I could probably use a grabbier pad, then I realize its not the pad its the ABS and my shitty tires. LOL

I know Sam strano has tested a new pad that he really likes. I would give him a call.

I would not use HP+ for road race again. Parking lot events they are fine and IME last forever. On racetrack they lasted good and were rotor friendly but fade really bad when they get hot. I've never boiled fluid but had those pads fade a couple times and it was severe - agricultural driving type of I have a hard pedal but little stopping torque WTF kind of thing. I've upped to Hawk HP10 and so far they stop much better both cold on the street and hot on track but have only run them on a half wet track so they were not pushed that hard. We'll see how they do this year.
