Default Autocross Tire Pressure

The car is a stock '01 Trans Am. I know, I know, why would anybody autocross an fbody with no suspension mods lol. #1. I love to autocross #2. I can't afford mods.

The issue I'm having is that the last owner put Riken Raptors on the car and I refuse to replace them until they are not longer fit for driving, so that isn't an option. The tires are stock size. Assuming dry conditions, around 65-70 degrees outside, what pressure (tires hot since I'll be filling after I drive there) front and rear should I be running? The car is full weight and stock. Thanks.

every tire is different. every track/lot is different. every day is different. start around 37 front, 35 rear. chalk/paint the tires, and go from there.

Yeah, I figured it wouldn't be possible to get an exact answer. I guess I was really just looking for a guess on front vs. rear. Thanks for giving me a baseline though.

You will probably go up from there substantially. On street tires last year I was up at between 45-50 psi when my suspension was stock. Anyhing lower and it fel wallowy in the back and wanted to spin up the tires everywhere. And alot of people autox stock fbodys. It's called fstock! Lol. Goodluck. I would start about 40psi And go up from there if it were me.

Ha! This is only my second event, but it looks like I'm locked in for first in class AGAIN lol. Yeah, I don't think I was running near enough pressure last time. Thanks.
