Wide Wheels for Autocross So I've owned my ESP camaro for going on Two months now and have been run 315/30/18 on a 18x10.5 C5 Replica with spacers front and rear.
I'm looking into buying a set of 17x12 CCW's that "apparently" will fit without any spacers so long as my fenders are rolled (then are). I was wondering what experience people have had with CCW's or running other larger rim and tire combo's with autocross, and if these sound like the way to go or stick with the 18's

Depends on the tire you want to run. 17s used to be where it was at, but it seems lately there are more dot r tires in the wider sizes with greater availability in 18 than in 17. If youre only running Hoosiers on them, then the 17s will be cheaper and lighter.

So I probably won't get rid of my 18" wheels because I won 2 fresh hoosiers this year and have another lightly used set laying around, but switching to 17 X 12" CCW for race duties next weekend
