Will having a built motor change the class I run in for autocross?
I have a 93 camaro with a built ls1, motor makes 447 rwhp.
I'm in Georgia and would like to have some fun autocrossing the car this summer, but I'm curious if the built motor is going to put me in a class that I could never be competitive in.

You will have fun no matter what and honestly if it's your first time out I wouldn't expect to be competitive no matter what class you were in. The driver is more important than the car.
This year they split the CAM class into 3 groups. You will want to run in CAM C (classic american muscle contemporary) as it is for 72+ 4 seaters.

I ran at Peach State Muscle Car Challenge in my 98 z, I had a blast, but that car was just a bolt on car with stock suspension, I still came in 3rd out of 30 cars. I plan to do a ton of suspension mods to the 93. I just really need to find class to build it for that has plenty of competition and wont break the bank lol. Thanks for telling me about Cam C, I'm going to look up the rules and regulations now.
