Crackle high boost
Just got done building 5.3 forged rotating assembly, btr stage 1 cam, dual springs, harden pushrods, 1000cc injectors, dual #6 meth injection, 75mm turbo 20ish psi
my issue is crackling under high boost pulled a bunch of timing and only ran on 14psi and crackle went away. Now I’m at 20psi running 10 degrees and I’m get pre detonation again (crackle)
My question is can a bad set of spark plug wires and coils cause this and does a Hobbs switch shut off after a certain psi. I’m running a 2 psi Hobbs switch for the meth. Afr seems like the meth is still active but wondering if the switch shuts off because of too much pressure?
