retarded question??? sorry to sound retarded because i know i will after asking this. what is the difference between autocrossing and road racing? i have always been a drag racer and never participated in autocross or road racing but i have always wondered what the difference between them is, thanks.

Typically a road course is a course that has long straightaways as well as curves. Here you need a car that handles decent as well as power.
AutoX is just turns pretty much. There's a guy on another board I know that has a stripped out 140hp car that whips the hell out of cars with 3X it's hp in AutoX because it's built to handle. It's what a lot of 4 cylinders run in, because they can easily be competitive without putting a lot of power down.

Yep thats right autocross Is usually a course made out of cones where ya usually go like 40-50 max. I think an f body would be at a disadvantage in a race like this.... 
Too heavy, too big, and all that power doesnt do much for ya. We would fare better in a road race though....
