Ford's Super DOT4
Ford's Super DOT4 Can we use Ford's Super DOT4 in our cars? The can said not to use it in a DOT3 system. Thought DOT3,4,and 5.1 was intechangable with DOT5 Silicon being the only one thats not. Is the statement just self preserving lawyers yappin or does it really not mix? Need to know as I really don't want to buy the pricey Motul stuff. <img src="images/icons/confused.gif" border="0">

Re: Ford's Super DOT4 I've used it for years now. I'm going to switch to Motul just for a bit more safety but the Ford stuff has been really good to me... only a couple of times has it faded under really stupidly harsh use.

Re: Ford's Super DOT4 Hey John, I think that is the suff I saw. It's called Ford Super Duty DOT4. Says- For use with Ford Focus, not for use in DOT3 systems. Wet boiling point is 356 degrees, part number is ESP-M6C57A. Whats up with the disclamer on DOT3 systems? Very <img src="images/icons/confused.gif" border="0">
