Yesterday's track day.....
Got into consistant 1.20s (NHIS road course), which is dang good in a street car (the PTG BMW
factory race cars do it in under 1.00 !!).
Still on stock brakes ... with the race tires, they're OK unless I try to use ALL of the grip that the race tirs can provide, on braking, on every corner. Guess how I found THAT out..... So, just gotta be moderate on turn 3 & 6 and they'll stay with me. I'll try the upper level Hawk street pads next & see how they do (still can't justify an extra $100/event for full race pads...plus the extra rotor wear & susequent replacement).
When you get the chance try and find a diagram of the track so we can see course. That would be neat. It's been a slow year for me so I am forced
to give up road racing this year but have been
driving for 6 years. It's a blast!!
Look forward to seeing pictures, or is there a web site we can visit to see the track and event
photo's?
Apprecite it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />
The road course is kinda hard to see in the aerial pic.
