Best 3 or 4pt STB?

Default Best 3 or 4pt STB?

I currently have a 2pt BMR CM STB, but want to upgrade to a 3 or 4pt design since I'm on a quest to eliminate, or at least minimize, all flex in my wet-noodle ragtop.

What are the best choices?

I'm considering:

The KB one "appears" to be of good design given that it's a triangle. Anyone have one?

Opinions? Any others I should be looking at?

All good choices. Take a look at Edelbrock. it is a rather stout piece (basically a triangle, with 2 bars running across the car). It looks like a pain to work on the car with, but it should be stiff. Just thought I'd mention that one to you to add to your list. Good luck

When you are ready to get rid of the 2 point, let me know. Maybe we can arrange something, I have the LG 3 point.

I have the Hotchkis. I like it because it doesn't look like every other STB out there, and it performs! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I have the BMR crome moly STB. I have seen very bad things with the 3 points, crack windshild, noises, and the bolt coming undone. Go with a 2 point and save your money for better stuff IMO!

I had the LG 4 pt on my 94 Z28 and loved it. Never had a problem.
