I've heard about different things to use to try and bring back some hard tires.
Hot Lap has been mentioned as well as a homebrew that I didn't get written down.
Any suggestions?

I'd second the recommendation for Formula V. I've used it for years. At $35 per bottle it will last you a season at least. It allows me to buy used tires and still remain competitive.
