It's my understanding that GY introduced a new tire last year before the SCCA Runoffs at Mid-Ohio. Apparently it was a very good tire, and Heinricy won T1 in his Z06 using them, even over Hoosier equipped Z06s and Vipers. Of course Heinricy is one heck of a driver. I'd say they're more for road racing though, and not for autoxing.

Default Goodyear GS-GC

Maybe not the exact forum I should post this in but...

The only tires I have xp with are the V700 (Victoracer's). How do the Goodyear GS-GC Eagle race compound tires compare to the Kumho's?

Does anyone have any xp with the Goodyears? Are they more for autox or rr? Or would they be good for both.

Thanks

Do they still make the GS-CS compound?

Lou, I just got a set from an A-sedan racer to use autocrossing this season (had a few laps on them and got them cheap....there is enough meat to run one or two autocross seasons on them), but I don't know when they were manufactured (I expect that there is a date code on them, haven't looked), but I thought he bought them last season.....may have to go do research (if I like them, I may need more for track days, etc). If I find anything, I'll post it on the board.
