Default Is road racing a stalled auto crazy?

I am thinking about heading down to a road course that's about an hour away and spending a half day zipping around. My car definitely has been setup with drag in mind, but I think road racing would be fun on occasion. Anyone have any thoughts on stalled autos on road racing? Obviously a stick would be better, but I like drag more (so far).

A big part of the fun of road racing is late braking and downshifting right before the corner. You can do that in an auto. Maybe just not quite as smooth. It should be fun. The one thing that most every street car and drag car need before going to the track is some racing brake pads.

good set of pads like hawk pads are around 90 bucks I think, I want to get a full brake kit w/ 2 or 3 piston calipers in the front w/ some nice 13" or so rotors
