is a dry sump system worth it for a weekend road racer?

But it would also depend on how high you were spinning the motor. Like you said tho, its a weekend racer, and considering the cost of a drysump, it wouldnt be worth it.

I am not to familiar with these types of things, what is an accusump?

They are oil pressure supplement devices. When your oil pressure drops it forces oil back into your engine preventing oil starvation. I havent run one yet but seriously thinkin about it. Alot of stock type racing classes wont allow dry sump systems so alot of them use these.
