Clutch recommendation?
Clutch recommendation? OK, please don't tell me to go search....I'm still dizzy from searching all the camshaft threads :-)
My car will soon have LS1/T56, and I would like to replace the clutch prior to the swap. The car is not a daily driver but will do quite a bit of street driving on the weekends. I'll do 4 or 5 DE's during the warmer months, and maybe an autox here or there.
When I ran the BMW engine w/ supercharger I used a SPEC stage II for this type of driving and loved it. I'm hearing that their quality has gone down in the last year or two and several LS1 guys have had some issues. What do you guys feel is a good clutch setup for me?

Whoops, sorry that would've been good info huh!
Basically stock power, nothing too crazy. Motor is from 2000 f-body, and I plan on doing a mild cam, LS6 intake, full length headers, and custom exhaust. Shouldn't need too much in my little roadster.
I assume LS6 clutch has good road manners? Any good deals out there?

I started with a Spec Stage-iii and did not like it.
I now have a Ram PowerGrip HD (metallic on both sides of the disc). Way good. If you used the PowerGrip (not the HD), you would have metallic lining on one side and organic on the other ...... would drive live a stocker .... more or less.

If you are not putting more than 350-450 rwhp you might want to look into the LS7 clutch, some guys have swaped to it with good results. It should give you a stock feel and grab a lot better than the LS6 clutch.
