Keeping cool when racing
OK for a 5-7 lap race will the stock rad work or do i need a aftermarket one. I am doing the redline timeattack race. So what do u guys use. Also at my last race i was at beaverrun in PA/ great fun track. Well i was checking temps on everything and the brake were about 370frt and 340s rear on the rotors. does anyone look at that to see if they are abusing the brake or to tell what the danger point is??? now my tires were about 120 on inside to 114 on outside, once again does anyone look at heat on tires. I have to run a street tire, and i am using the Kuhoms MX. so far they are ok, but then again this is my first race so maybe they suck or mayne they are great.

I run distilled water, Redline Water Wetter, and RMI-25 (desert racers use this additive). I run a larger than stock radiator ('85 C4) in my RX-7.
If you are allowed to run the Toyo RA1's or Michelin Pilot Sport Cups (PSC) they will blow the doors off of the Kumho MX's.
I ran the Mich PSC's and pulled 1.13g's on a 200' skidpad. They are very very sticky and don't lose their grip even at the end of a hard 20 minute session.
