He must have had the car off when it was being towed (or the battery was dead maybe?) and the steering appeared to lock when they went around the sharp corner.

There is a description of what happened. "WRX STI being towed behind a LandRover Discovery LR3 turbo diesel. The steering on the WRX locks on a hairpin corner and the Discovery driver doesnt realize it and tows the WRX into a Wire pole."

FWIW, I read the description...it tells WHAT happened...not WHY.

I'm wondering WHY it happened. Were these WRX guys idiots, or extremely unlucky?

Or both?
