Call Sam, he helped me a ton with my suspension and it has worked out great 1.48 60fts with Koni SA's and Sam's rear sway bar. I remove Sam's front for drag racing and re install for the autocrosses.

I had started down my differential path before I met Sam, unlucky for me but lucky for you.

A friend brought up another option for discussion.

What about microniting (SP?)? How many people out there have done this? I was told about a guy that use to break his 10 bolt every ten runs, but since he had his gears done, he's over 100 passes. I'm going to try and find out who it is tomorrow at work, so I'm not talking out of my @$$.

If I could micronite some 4.22's and throw in a torsen t2r for under 1000, it doesn't seem like to bad of a deal.

Comments?

Here is a thread you may have missed:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/advanced-engineering-tech/564753-mirconite-vs-rem-polishing-cryo.html

The advanced tech section has some interesting information and opinions to read in there. At the end of the day you make the call on what is right for you.

Sometimes I'm right and sometimes I'm wrong. I just want to be right more often.

I'm going to be going with the 9" since I will be drag racing it (no more than 5 or 6 times a year).

What is the best auto-x/street use unit. Posi, soft-locker, hard-locker, spool(yeah, I know this one's out)?

I want something that's going to give me optimum control while racing, but I love to street my car.

What do you have and what are your experiences? Would you go the same route if you were doing it again or not?

The Truetrac is what I would use. Bob

And still my phone is eerily silent about this subject.....

4.10's, 4.22's, etc. are weak, they have SMALL pinion gears (which is what usually breaks not the ring gear). Treating them won't make the invincible. And also, you can't use 4.10's and such with a T2R without some special parts that add another couple of hundred bucks to the deal (and seems to work, but those addition parts weren't designed for the T2R).

I did not know this, first time I've heard about the 4.10s/T2R complications.
Sam, what is the "stock" upper limit of the T2R? 3.42s, 3.73s??
