Front splitter material question

just read through your thread and noticed your trying to have a splitter plate cut/fabricated - HDPE was recommended - I would agree its the best. and IF your getting quoted @ $750 per 4' x 5' sheet i am in the wrong business!!!
HDPE is dirt cheap and if you hunt around you shall be able to get the stuff CNC cut to your size. Should cost under $100.

Oh, and the material that the COT uses for its splitter is called tegris. Developed by that Milliken company. Tegris is made using polypropylene-based tapes that feature a very strong center core sandwiched by a lower-melt polypropylene co-polymer. Pretty neat stuff.
