Default my 408 setup

Well after 9 months it is finally close to being done. This thread doesn't have any bs numbers. I'm not all about the number game. So this is what it is:

408 248/254 110lsa 11.6:1
afr 225s fast intake is port matched
nw 90mm tb
kooks 1 3/4, ory into a 18 inch dynomax bullet
37# racetronix injectors
flt 4l65e with a yank ss3800
3.42 10 bolt


Went down to Ed Wright. Very interesting person with great stories. We had a rear main seal leak so that is all the smoke you guys will see in the vids. I'm happy with the car and the driveabilty. Now I just need a rear for next year (and exhaust, I think i'm deaf)

last dyno run #3 (nice torque curve!) Dynojet dyno and I also ran on my 18 inch rims and tires.

yes ed dynos them unlocked... Thats why it will do the 2-3 shift on the pull.

My to do list is getting bigger lol

I think i'm going to put a tci flexplate on while I change the rear main seal. My buddy had a piece of his crack and go through his engine bay. (98 corvette)

Also need to order a 160 tstat

nice- any vids of idle? I am thinking of going to a very similiar cam
what crank? I is possible the rear crank plug if its a eagle.
I had to change mine

Your saying the crank plug is leaking? It was a pretty good amount. I'm guessing 1/2 a quart was on the ground. I looked this morning and the oil stain wasn't that big.

I'll get a idle vid sometime. It's pretty tame though.

It is the eagle crank. Thunder racing built the motor.

its common on eagle cranks.
Mine only leaked while running. never really dripped when when turned off.
eagle sent me 3 plugs. they have you put one in dry, then put another in with aviation sealer on it. never leaked since. they sent a spare in case I screwed one up

Well mine leaked all the way back to wichita, ks on the trailer. I don't know. I've already replaced the seal once. I'll just have to see where the leak is coming from I guess.
