I have a pair of 2 fuel line corvette FCRs and I need to see if someone can assist me with cutting them.. Or if they an send me the cutouts where i can trace em on then cut them my self.. thanx

It's not that big of a deal.
Rear of both covers, (If you still have the AIR tubes.), oil dipstick hole, & throttle bracket area.

I'm not acting like a jerk off, I'm just trying to help this guy from making the same mistake. It looks like the rear clip that holds it to the fuel rail was even hacked off in the process. That cover looks terrible, that's my opinion and has nothing to do with owning a business. If that's being a jerkoff, then I'm a jerkoff, but at least this guy won't have 1/2 a cover. Anymore questions???

LOL!!! OH ****, I didn't realize you were one in the same person. That looks much better with a neon light going across the top Look, to each his own, but you're not going to win on this one. There are MUCH better ways to make these cuts without chopping off 50% of the entire cover. I think there are also more tasteful ways of accenting them with out putting a huge piece of plastic across the top to hide a neon, LED or whatever that light source is. You do it your way, I'll do it mine, but I'm just letting the guy know all that isn't necessary.

you don't need to cut them at all. I am going to have to remove mine to show everybody. I still have all of the air hoses as well. You just need to work with the hoses.

Advice to SilverUltraZ (the whole point of the thread really):
If parbreak is offering you templates and you are willing to try yourself, I'd be all over that. I havent personally dealt with him, but have seen his work and interaction on this board and he's proven.

You are correct, BUT, that is very difficult to install them if they are nicely painted and you don't want to scratch up that nice paint. I cut mine so they are reasonably easy to install and yet maintain as much of the original cover as possible. Also I didn't mean to insult anyone and I was speaking not as someone who does these, but as simply a poster posting my opinion.

I could see possible cutting them if they were painted but wouldn't you want them cut before you painted them? I think the original poster is using plain Corvette FRC which is exactly what I have on mine. I didn't think it was that hard to get them on but again I could see if you had a nicely painted pair it would be worth it to have them cut.

 

Yea, I always cut mine before painting them.
