Do you guys think a strut tower bar would fit over this intake? I don't see why not, but considering that it's a truck intake, you never know.

Do the L92 heads have a narrower valve angle?

If so, will they require different rockers and longer pushrods like the TFS and ETP heads?

I'm not really seeing the difference from the intake and a LS2 intake. Will someone clue me in on this? Also why would a LS2 intake not work with the new truck heads?

L92 intake ports are rectangle vs. the cathedral ports for the LS2.

Yes, as will any 90mm 4-bolt pattern throttle body.

The current GM High-Tech Performance magazine has a couple of really good articles on these heads. (Feb 2007 issue) In this same issue I quote "GMPP shoehorns a brand-new LS7 into one of its Camaro test cars, and we slaughter an innocent T56 in the pursuit of 11-second timeslips."

Its a good issue... check it out. It will explain a lot of questions.

im pretty sure you can reuse your pushrods, but from what ive read you have to get an offset rocker setup becasue of the different valve angle. here is a link to the article from GMHTP http://www.gmhightechperformance.com...ads/index.html

theres alot of great info in there about the L76/L92 setup. also in response to powershifts question, the strut tower brace should still fit as its not really a truck intake..they designed the L76 to work with the L92 heads as the truck intake wouldnt clear the hoods of most production cars. the main difference between the L76 and ls2 intake is the difference in runner length and they actually will meet up with the intake ports on the L92 heads. i REALLLLY wish i had the money laying around as this would def be my next mod

Add a lunati cam with some nasty specs (595/595 238/242 112lsa) to the L92/L76 on an LS2 shortblock and you've got the makings of a 500 whp daily driver. and yes the Nick Williams 90mm 4 bolt design will fit.

Where can you get the L92 heads and L76 intake? Would this setup work on a LQ9 based 408 into an LS1 equipped car without any fitment/wiring issues?

Nice,

where are you from? The brake system seems to be on the "other" side in your pic?

I see a nice Hydroboost system too...

Guy's,

I just got an LQ4 (if its what its called) out of an '05 Hummer. What would you suggest i do with this? I'm not very LSX informed yet on the possible interchanges with those motors. I have a freakin tall intake that kinda look like the one here but...not really either.

I want a big power (i also recently got a set of twins for a song -t4's- and am toying ideas around) and a Big lope would be nice (Hey its a '69 after all!!!). To tell you, i'm not even sure yet what i have in this LQ4...I got it because it was a good deal too (last week).... and i'm completely overhauling the underside and front clip of my Camaro right now, so i'm thinking i might install the 6.0L now instead of next winter.

Thanks for any help!

Lead.

The intake is actually called L76, it's the heads (and the Escalade/Yukon Denali 6.2L motors) that are called L92.
And I'm not sure if the stock coolant piping will work with it or not, I would assume so though.

Default Intake

I believe you can call FAST and they already have something engineered for that setup. Why wouldn't a 90/90 setup work anyway?

The current 90/90 setup won't work because these Heads have the rectangular ports, just like a LS7 Head. The current 90/90 is for every other Head with Cathedral ports. The LS2's have the #243 Heads, same as the LS6 Heads, just without the Sodium filled Valves. The L76 Intake uses the LS2 Fuel Rails, and the LS1/LS6 Style Fuel Injectors. I put LS2 Injectors on mine cause I got them cheap, and had to shim the Rails 1/2" on the mounting spots. You have to relocate the MAP Sensor Connector in your Harness to on the right side front, basically next to #2 Fuel Injector, about 4" in front of it. The stock Truck Coolant Cross-over lines will bolt on to and work with these Heads. You have the 2 in the back that plug it, and then you have the one in the front that crosses over and goes to the Radiator.
I have researched this for a little bit and have all these products at my house, so ask if you have a question. I can get all kinds of pics also if you need them.
I just got the L92 Heads, L76 Intake, and a Holley 90mm Throttle Body, here are some good pics, enjoy..

L76 INTAKE MANIFOLD ASSEMBLED WITH LS2 FUEL RAILS, LS2 INJECTORS, MAP SENSOR ON FRONT

HOLLEY 90mm THROTTLE BODY, CABLE LINKAGE

GM L92 HEADS, ASSEMBLED. VALVE SIZES: 2.16"/1.59" FLOW: APPX. 325/210CFM, 4.000" BORE @ .600 LIFT

GM is using L92 (6.2L) and L76 (6.0L) engines in their trucks. They both use the same head castings but the intakes use different part numbers. Both truck intakes look very similar though.
The intake that most reffer to as the L76 is actually a car intake that is used on the Australian market L76 engine. For the most part it is a truck engine with a car intake.
So there are actually TWO L76 intakes, one for trucks and another for cars.
