how much can a stock 75mm maf sensor flow
how much can a stock 75mm maf sensor flow I am installing my Forged LS6 now and tunning will be very important when the time comes.
For the street i want to retain the MAF sensor set up
i wanted to know what a stock LS1 75MM MAF sensor flows
and a SLP or ZO6 85MM MAF sensor flows.
I will be pushing 15 PSI with a D1-sc Ptrocharger and looking to make about 700 RWHP . Max RPM will be around 6,500
there is a CO that sells new high flowing MAF sensors here on tech, and they are able to flow boost and high HP 1,000 + HP
Standard DBX 85 flows to 3700 KGH Supports up to 1000 h.p.
Special order DBX 85 flows to 4800 KGH Supports up to 1300 h.p.

It'll flow a sh!tload at a reasonably low pressure
drop, descreened. However the PCM will not be
able to deal with more than 511g/sec or 12kHz
output frequency without faulting. That is maybe
5-600HP or so, depending on how efficient the
motor is.
"Supports" such-and-such HP or flow is swell,
but the MAF is only one sensor in the system and
you will probably be looking at a lot of tricks if
you want to stick with the stock hardware and
OS. Probably better off with a custom multi-bar
speed density OS in the end. To handle the
2-bar expected MAP levels in transient-throttle
operation you will need a 2-bar OS and all the
ones I know of ditch the MAF, first thing. MAF
will absolutely fail to cover the throttle-mash,
full boost scenario (and that's the whole point,
more or less, right?)
In fact on the street the MAF is a pretty small
contributor, it is used at a partial weighting at
lower RPM and isn't "all in" until >4000RPM. Don't
know about you, but 4000+RPM and steady MAP
is not something I get much time at, on the street.
Maybe 2-3 seconds at a time. With a big *****
blower, make that one second.
