FAST LSX-R 102mm Gains Or Loses Results
Patrick tested on his G8 ,with L92 port heads and the FAST intake didnt show a ton of gains until higher RPM, where it gained 20rwhp over the stock piece where stock one ran out of air. He also tested two "professionally ported by sponcers" stock manifolds and they both lost power to the OEM one.
Patrick later swapped to cathedral port AFR 230V2 heads and a Mamo ported FAST cathedral intake. I havent seen him test against any stock intake with the cathedral port setup.
Texas speed also tested a "ported OEM LS3 " intake and it too lost power...Ill dig up the results. I found a bunch of positive results before I purchased my FAST LS3 intake.

Patrick tested an L76 6.0 from his G8 with an L76 intake, he also tested 2 L76 intakes that were ported by sponsors NOT Ls3 intakes.
here are his results FROM an L76 6.0 with 1 7/8 headers, 1.85 Rockers(increasing his LIFT), Vararam Cold Air Intake, ASP UD pulley, maybe the gain up top has to do with the headers, rockers and CAI because the L76 intake(not the Ls3) is holding its own, and in some spots making more torque and HP than the FAST but I didnt see a 20 HP spike on this graph. Not only that but they were tested on different days and weather but on the same dyno. DONT get me wrong please, im in no way bashing FAST at all. Hell id buy one but before I do I want to hear from other members or sponsors with experience with it. Thats all, I also am not trying to contradict you, I know you are a man in the KNOW and have plenty of knowledge in this hobby of ours.

Your getting caught up in the details that are insignificant and trying hard to catch me being wrong. Like LS3 vs L76 intake, EXACTLY the same thing as far as power goes. The difference in the map sensor, hose clamp vs "clip on" PCV ports, and that one has a PCV port that sticks out to the middle of the plenum is irrelevant. The runners are the same, the plenum is the same. I understand all of the intakes for these engines, I have all of them and I have studied all of them.
I also found the 5 dyno graphs of FAST vs LS3 intakes that helped convince me to go ahead and get the FAST(But my wife is calling me to get off the computer, ill post later). Remember FAST only says the LS3 version makes 14hp/11ftlb @ flywheel. All of the graphs I have show the intake doing exactly what they claim or more.

This is where I said you were confused. You explained the graph you just posted, but said it was for cathedral ports. I simply said what you were describing was actually from an L92heads/LS3 intake test and that you were confusing it with his new cathedral port setup he runs now.

I believe the Fast does work but at what cost. $$$ for the gain. I would do every thing else then think about the FAST and T.body. The 102 is like an elec. H2O pump lots of cash for small gain if any. MHOP.

If you look at Pat G's closely, the FAST pull looks as if something was happening between 5200-5800(Theres a flat spot). Where it should continue on a smooth curve and meet up at the end, like the rest of the graphs. I made it orange to show what Im talking about.

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
The 2010camaro :
Stock 365rwhp 370rwtq
ARH Headers and Borla Catback with custom Comp Cam and stock LS3 intake..
472rwhp 429rwtq
Added HPS CNC Ported LS3 Heads
494rwhp 446rwtq
Added Fast 102 Intake
510rwhp 457rwtq
We are very pleased with the gains with just the addition of CNC porting on the LS3 heads. Adding the Fast 102 Intake made a great improvement as well.

The kicker is that the FAST 102mm, with its removable runners "could" be reconfigured with shorter runners that will do 7500+ RPM. But "Race" runners would make it give up torque through the midrange for larger gains at high RPM.

I have run both before, and I didnt keep either the L76 or the LS3.
SweetS10V8, So are you running the Fast LSXR 102 now finally?
