So a LS7 manifold would work the same? Just looking at the performance gain between the factory one compaired to the 102 and if it is only 5 to 10 hp it is not worth 1K to me with porting. So I guess I was trying to figure what factory manifold to use on a 400 + inch hot n/a motor.

No.... The LS7 version has a reputation for gaining more than the LS3 version over stock. Plus you can just swap form an LS3 to an LS7 manifold without swapping heads as well.
Your also not looking at the data posted. I posted at least 5 graphs on page 3 showing gains of 12-18hp, some on totally stock vehicles, some on modified, mostly unported versions. Then someone posted a large gain on higher hp engine right afterwards.

Here is 2010 camaro that we HPS/APF did a back to back comparison on with a Comp cam and set of HPS CNC Ported LS3 heads and then added the Fast102 intake. Click the link for the dyno graph

Isnt their a difference on top of the cubes from the Ls3 intake and the Ls7 intake? Thought even though the ports were the same that they couldn't fit because of width differences???

Fast LSXr 102mm Intake!!
My car made 481 RWHP and 453 RWTQ with some bolt ons!! Lethal Performance in San Antonio, Tx installed a TSP 231/236 TSP Cam, Fast LSXr 102, TSP underdrive pulley and tuned it!! It resulted in a gain of 80 HP and 60 TQ! I was very happy with the way the car turned out! All mods are listed below! Not bad for a few bolt-ons, cam and stock heads!! Next on the agenda is to port match the heads and intake to put me around 500 RWHP and 475 RWTQ!! Still with a stock long block! The car is daily driven and is not just a 1/4 mile car, more like an allaround DD that can get you from point A to point B really quickly!! Forgot they ported the stock TB too! Before the cam, t-stat, Fast intake, TB porting, and the TSP under drive pulley the car made 401/393 the the wheels with a very mild tune! I would recommend Lethal to anyone in the Texas area, it is worth the drive and like Danny said to me many times, "you get what you pay for"!! Iwould say the intake was worth it due to the fact that it makes more power and torque throughout the entire powerband, most people just look at the peak numbers and not from start to finish! I would rather have more power from idle to 6500 instead of 20hp on the top end but that's just me!! I like going fast period! Strait line, curves, or hills, doesn't matter!!

If you were building a new combo I would look at the Mast piece P/N 501-003. Its $$$ but the best manifold out for the rectangle port heads. I'm thinking about it but the cam I have is for a long runner intake. Clear Lake Speed here in the Houston area has the hook up on all the Mast catalog.

Damn man that is ******* bitchen wow... Haven't seen that yet, but for the price it might be worth it... have you seen anything on the web on those and picking up any power??? I might just take the loan out an do that wow... lol

Its funny to see "picking up power" When you can look at it and ensure it will lose 35-50+lbft. from 3000-5000RPM.
Consider the MAST single plane, or an Edelbrock Pro flow if your a drag racer that leaves the line between 5500-7000RPM and never shifts below 7500RPM.
If you drive your car at all on on the street, you need a FAST or plastic style manifold. You simply cannot be looking at both a single plane intake and a plastic manifold, they are in different worlds. If you havent figured this out at this point, you need to do more research before you spend your money.

yeah for sure and thats what sucks man because the torque loss is gonna suck ***... I could only see it beneficial with a auto an a single plain setup with the bottle. It would all be in the range of RPM.

Going to put swap 90/90 to 102/102 in my 408 with tfs235
in couple of days
i changed the 90 setup because i see a drop in map @ WOT to 94 kpa
i hope to see 100 after the swap

Bringing it back from the dead...
1LEJohn, Sweetv8S10, litle88 - any updated dyno graphs to post when switching from the GM L76/LS3 to the FAST 102?
I'm building a 427 LS3 and I would like to see if this was still debatable on being "worth it" or on.

Hmmmm i think you would see something for sure the best thing i've seen was 418+CIB builds picking up power so it should be worth something for the build for sure man not to mention the runners are able to be taken out for fab work. They need air pushed through them to make numbers so with a strong camshaft an bigger cbi it should bring something delicious to the table of numbers and lay down some power. Your gonna make better TQ with Ls3 heads, but better overall power with Ls7 heads said some builders... Either way if your keep the Ls3 heads update us because i would love to see what it brings to the table of power. Good Luck
