Default LS2 uses 32.5lb injectors

I assume they will plug right in to the LS1? Good news for us dry N2O users

No, they have a complety new design, Shorter and a new electrical connector.

See the new issue of Fastest Street Car mag they have a great write up on the LS2.

The LS2 is what the LT4 was to the LT1.

Its the Multec II design that GM has used on their full sized trucks since 99. Thats good news for the truck guys.

I don't know for sure, but I don't think it's the truck style injector.

Take a look at these injectors on display from an LS2:



Those look like the multec truck injector to me. They could be just similar, but not exact.

Here is a pic of a set of truck injectors beside normal bosch LS1 style injectors.

Actually the injectors in the top picture look more like the "flex fuel" injectors than the standard truck injectors. Even the flow rate sounds about the same (32.5# vs 33#).

Unfortunately they use a unique connector also, which makes swapping more than plug and play with either the LS1 or the regular truck engines.

Here's a view of all three side by side with the required connector bodies:

is that last injector similar to the 99+ mustang pencil style injectors? looks to be a similar plug, but can't really tell from that pic

I would say yes. I don't know the specifics on the mustang, but Ford does use that injector connector on some of its applications.
