Nice, although the sway bar would've made the biggest diffrence . I would highly recommend going coilover though. Best handling upgrade I've done with the car so far.

Regarding the brakes, after nearly 2 years of use the rotors are starting to show some wear and if I lay into the brakes hard from high speed I will notice some pulse in the brake pedal till the rotors cool off. Seems like the pads outlast the rotors in this application. At least that's my experience.

GXP25 - I never thought about it, but I can see how some in the GXP camp might see defiling GXP calipers like I did could be viewed as sacrilege. LoL.
yes it is

Did you use the moog end links to compensate for the different bend in the rear Addco sway bar?

Very good write up. Excellent comparisons and good info for those looking into these parts. Thank you for doing this. If any one else has questions on these parts give us a call.

Just curious to anyone that has gone similar route with upgrading to the bilstein. I've taken the part numbers provided for the bilstein shocks and did a google search and every site that comes up there discontinued... What are people doing now for suspension upgrades cause it appears only options seem to be factory replacement stuff or kyb

Just to be clear, there are three different models: B6 (C) Comfort, B6 (HD) Heavy Duty, and B8 (SP) Sport.

OEM GXP Bilsteins are tuned by GM and fit in between the B6 (C) Comfort and B6 (HD) Heavy Duty. I believe most people go for the HDs.

B6 (C) Comfort:

Front: 35-153375
Rear: 35-153382

B6 (HD) Heavy Duty:

Front: 35-153153
Rear: 35-153160

All can be found on Amazon and are pricey.

EDIT: I'll be going with the B6 (C) Comfort struts.

OEM GXP AC Delco part numbers:

Front: 505-548
Rear: 505-549

OEM Super AC Delco part numbers:

Front: 506-682
Rear: 506-664

Is there any reason why fe4 struts from say a Grand Prix couldn't be used on my impala? See them on rockauto and look exactly like factory bilsteins that come in the gxp

Ac delco part numbers
Front part number 505548
Rear part number 505549

Looking at upgrading rear brakes on 06 monte ss with gxp setup and not sure how the parking brakes would work. Gxp rotors are shallow, monte ss rotors are thick to run parking shoes inside rotor. Will the gxp rotor work with stock parking brakes on monte ss? Any info would be helpful.

The GXP brakes work much better then the stock Impala brakes. Pedal feel is not the greatest. Not sure why. Could be due to not swapping the brake pedals out. I did thoroughly bleed the system. Pedal just isn't as firm or high as I'd like. But as stated above the brakes work great.
Would you know if the stock Impala ss wheels clear the GXP calipers? I noticed you were using wheel spacers but not sure if that was due to your suspension mods.
