The Delco's are offshore junk!! DO NOT BUY THESE STRUTS!!! Only Bilstein or KYB equivalent are high quality with the FE4 suspension. Any other that rides like factory is junk. I know this as fact. Close friend is a Parts rep. for a major auto parts supplier for 17 years. They stopped selling delco struts last year. Poor quality and causing problems under 20K miles on numerous vehicles.

They are yellow and they sure look like bilsteins. That's the only reason I brought them up. KYB FE4 suspension is also not the answer. I have been in the w-body game for 15 years so I'm very familiar with these cars.

Default alignment specs

I'm changing out my Canuc springs and my kyb avg struts (garbage) for what seems to be the last set of Eibach springs in existence and kyb adjustable struts. do you have the alignment specs for a lowered Monte/impala?

They have been discontinued with no intention on making any more. That's straight from Bilstein.

As far as I know, there is one front and one rear Comfort strut left. I probably got the last complete Comfort set out there. My fronts have already arrived this week. The rears come in tomorrow. My springs will be here on the 22nd.

You could opt for the OEM GXP Bilsteins from GM though.

EDIT: Here are the OEM ACDelco part numbers; check Amazon:

Front: 505-548
Rear: 505-549

That's a cheap price (~$161 shipped) for the rears.

EDIT #2: I checked Amazon and there are 4 more front Comfort struts in stock and more on the way. They're ~$228 each. I was able to get mine from another seller on a different website for ~$165 each. I also checked for the rears but they're currently unavailable.

I'm going to try these from amazon , they are adjustable so hopefully on the stiffest setting they will be stiffer then stock.

Amazon part match says they will work on a 06 monte carlo SS , so with everything that i've read there should not be any problems , however being amazon if there is they will usually take it back no problem so there will be no loss but just a delay on my end.

GXP25 What Springs did you get for your shocks, i would like to get some stiffer springs for the rear to adjust for the sub-woofer and prevent rear squat , if you got any info on this would be great.

I'm going with Canuck Motorsports springs again.

I want to raise my vehicle a bit and soften the ride. That's why I went with the aftermarket Bilstein B6 Comfort and not the B6 HD struts since my OEMs are pretty much shot at 150,000 miles. The good thing about the aftermarket Bilsteins is that they come with a lifetime warranty.

My current drop is 2.5" in the front and 1.5" in the rear. The new springs that will be arriving next Monday are a drop of 1.7" in the front and 0.5" in the rear.

The Bilsteins do come with the blue boots, contrary to what many sites may say.

I was talking about the aftermarket Bilsteins.

The OEM Bilsteins from GM/AC Delco don't come with boots because they have their own part number.

As of today i was able to locate results on google for the OEM GXP's and these "updated" numbers:

Front: 35-153153
Rear: 35-153160

I'm contemplating ordering the full BMR rear package for the GXP. Am I correct in assuming i would need to space the trailing arms for clearance as well?

Those are aftermarket like Bilstein struts and not the OEM GXP struts.

I've highlighted this in the following post: https://ls1tech.com/forums/ls4-perfo...l#post18017679

That is the list i pulled ALL 4 numbers from...for the OEM as well as aftermarket...and all 4 numbers generated search results with different places having both front and rear OEM as well as aftermarket.

they're still out there. that's all i was saying.
