Default LS2 with LS1 harness and knock sensors..correct locaiton?

As the title says.. I drilled and tapped these holes on the sides of the block and that's where they are. Is that the best place?

Thanks! Getting close!

You can also use the flat response that was originally on the LS2. Just gotta have the appropriate sensor harness and pcm pinout. Then some minor tuning changes.

But the way you have it works great too. Looks great!

Well which is easier from a tuning standpoint? This will be the first motor I am tuning with HPT myself. I thought that the same LS1 knock sensors would be the way for me to go but I have both sets of sensors..just already drilled/rapped those holes for the earlier sensors.

Thanks!

Does the starter clear it? Looks a little big, like the solenoid may be in the way? Or could just be the angle of the pic.

Ruh roh. Guess I need to check that! Will try it tomorrow when I get home and report back.

Thanks.

You'll be fine. That's how I have them on the 404 in my 2004 GTO. The starter clears just fine.
