Stock camaro vs FBO 2014 5.0

There was a local guy at my gym (about 4 days ago) in a 2014 camaro ss ls3. He was idling and I could tell it was not stock, it caught my attention and I decided to go make small talk being I'm a big time car guy. I start off with it sounds good, what's all done? He told me muffler delete, and a tune. Keep in mind I was in my dd (2009 civic si) and I'm assuming he seen me step out of it. I went on to tell him about my 13 hci ss (sold last May) and told him mine put down 478/422. He asks why I sold it, I told him that I picked up a V wagon and modded it which made 675 to the ground blah blah blah. Somehow another his numbers come up (I asked) and he spits out 501 lol. I said 501 what? He said rwhp (501). Wtf? Again I ask what's done to it? Oh a tune and muffler delete (stock manifolds). I told him that's damn near impossible (without calling him a liar outright). He then stated oh I have a lil help that's my secert weapon. I ask what size shot maybe a 150? He told me no like a 50 shot then went on to rant about how he can't lose to a 5.0 blah blah blah. I told him yeah thats cool and just walked off. My buddy who also attends the same gym and has a 3 mod 2013 5.0 was made aware of this conversation (through me) and we are in the process of getting a few runs set up. My point is Hio don't just say 5.0 guys do this because you are a gm fanboy. Some gm (camaro) guys do the same thing. Fight fair dude.

Stock 3.73 gear car tops out at 117 in 4th (computes to a 4.90). Even with a tune and intake i think they struggle to reach 130 in 4th. Even a 3.31 geared 5br0 equals 4.35 conventional gearing for a 1:1 4th. Their 4th gear is similar to a 3.42 geared fcar in 3rd .

I loved it for the 3 weeks I had it before it was rear ended by a dump truck.... It's been 53 days at the dealership "waiting" for parts.... It sucks

Thanks that's exactly what I was after. Even with 3.90s on my end they still have a gearing advantage. Crazy

What a toolbag lol. I was at a friend of a friends place once, and the guy that lived there said he had a bolt on 95 Z28 that put down "just under 500 to the wheels." He said it had stock heads and cam too. Because I asked, and told him there was no way he made that power with just "bolt ons". He tried changing the subject after he realized that he couldn't BS me.
