The alt goes to the battery side of the switch?

I believe you can have it either way.
Mine is on the opposite side of the battery.

I'm not positive but I put my alt wire to the battery side, I believe it's nhra reg. Not sure if it has anything to do with charging issue

You check charge output at battery not just rear of alt??

When hot:
Battery voltage engine off?
Battery voltage when cranking? Should be at least 10V
Voltage at starter when cranking?
Possible starter overheating?

ill just say roughly 4/5 battery on off switches we have used recently were BAD
and causing issues like this

my car did that when I had a key on wire on my alt in addition to the 5v reference wire

Im surprised howfast it spooled and with 3.15 gears outback, im sure the good converter comes into play.

For reference. I let the engine temps get up to 231*,turned the fan on and came down to 195*. Seems like its working!

I havent done the math yet.

And that ball was put on there by the previous owner. So i just left it. I painted it black and upgraded the zyp tie. Haha.
