Default Cam sprocket bolts anything special? (hardened etc?)

I've always just reused the 3 OEM cam bolts on cam swaps. Just did a 3 bolt cam install on a gen4 engine (had the one large bolt DOD cam). I have several M8 1.25 bolts that are 25mm length in my spare LS hardware bin. These should be fine to use, correct?

Anything special about the cam bolts? Hardened etc? They look to have a little sealer on them pictured here. Can I just locktite these suckers at 26ft lb and go?

I think the bolts with sealer are actually main cap side bolts, but they should be just fine to use. I would clean off any sealer that might come off though.

Not sure what the correct length is? But if they're too long, you'll have the bolts interfering with the block face and locking things up...

Never mind! I'm thinking of the retainer plate...
