From a dig, I have a feeling you're gonna make it look like a V6 Mustang. That thing digs very well. Excellent work.

Thank you, for the minimal suspension work I am very, very happy. Especially when you take into consideration the 3.42 gear and 17' 555r rears. I plan on going with a tubular K member, 90/10 up front over the winter. I'm putting in
An 8.8 over winter with 3.73. I've never had a car that would leave like this on the street, or track for that matter. It's kind of addicting haha. Now I want more.

I've liked the tall 4L60 3.06 first gear with a 3.42 rear and good stall for a street car. Seems to launch well and the 0.70 forth gear is decent on the highway, but 3.73 with 0.70 OD also makes a nice street car setup.

Surprised it hooks that well with the 555Rs and your power level.

Loved how much my slow bolt on lt1 surprised faster cars on the street due to the 3600 stall, 3.73, and 555Rs just dead hooking

Agreed, so far it's making for a great combo! Very pleasant to drive.

So am I. These tires are pretty old. The car hooks great on concrete, on blacktop not so much. It spins about ten feet lol.

I will say they are pretty inconsistent. Which is a pain.

Nice...Your car gets moving!
You need to find some cars that would give you a better challenge. You are way out of a "Bolt-on car" league.

I agree, supposed to race the gt500, 2010 GT boltons 100 shot on a drag pack, and some other cars I'll undoubtably run into this weekend. Say a hopeful prayer for my 10 bolt 😂

got moving in a hurry!

I thought I read on here that the old IROCs can weigh as much as 3500-3600lbs which is not light by any means especially for an 80s car. Is your car still full weight or has it shed some weight also?

I'm pretty sure the 3rd gen is one of the lightest generations.
It weighs 3200. It's a ttop car, when I weighed it, I had some misc tools in the car, a Corp 14 bolt ring and pinion and install kit, and random other daily items. 1/4 tank of fuel. The only items I've removed is the front sway bar, a/c compressor and condenser. The tranny mount I built is about 3x heavier than stock, and the tq arm I built is much heavier than stock. I think at the track I can get it down to a 3200# race weight. Keep in my I have heavy 17" darkstars, 17x7 front and 17x10.5 rear. 4 wheel disk brakes, even the rear end is heavier than stock, since it's 2" wider than my original. Heck, I even have the heavy professional products intake haha.

You got your wish Mach.... Lol.

Saturday night I'm racing a 2014 gt500 and a modded srt4.
Tonight, I'm racing a 2010 GT nitrous, boltons and drag pack. Also, going to try and get a run in with a pro charged trans am.

Luckily for me I picked up a set of slicks and put them on, and swapped out my 223 cam for my 247/255 cam.

Wonder how much power you'd pick up with a fast 92/92 or 102. I've debated upgrading but that money could fund a turbo build.

LOL..Excellent, man!
Make sure you post up the result. Watch that little skittle though. They can be nasty with the right setup. I think you will do well against the nitorus GT.

Good luck and be safe man!

Well, not really sure what's up with the car. Installed my wide band lastnight, went out to get the tune dialed in with the new cam. Put my new Hoosier slicks on it, and the car just blows the tires off. Literally for 3 gears it will just lay rubber. Tried 20, 15, and 10 psi so far, and 4 different roads both concrete and asphalt. No changed to anything except the cam. Then, of course the ten bolt started making noises so I just called it a night for racing.
